Build a greenhouse with glass

For plant lovers, who want to grow varieties of flowers or even do a bit of gardening, having a greenhouse in your own house could be a great idea. With the growing importance on organic food, cultivating it in your own gardens could be quite some fun. To do that you need to be able to have a place that is warm with sufficient lighting and some circulation of air too. Greenhouse structures could be shaped in the form of huts, or barns or sloping sheds.

You can locate your greenhouse in the garden if you have one, in a place where there is some protection from direct sunlight through a large tree but at the same time sufficient lighting for the plants, although you can make do with some fluorescent lighting on cloudy days. A glass greenhouse will be slightly heavier so you might want to build a solid foundation that can take some weight and a structural frame which will hold on tightly to the glass during strong winds.

Two kinds of plaster are available for plastering namely cement and gypsum based. Gypsum based plaster is used for interior walls with areas that get damp often requiring thicker layer of plaster. Cement based plaster is stronger and water resistant hence better suited for exterior walls.

Proper tools are required for an effective plastering work. Common tools used are buckets, trowels, steel floats, splash brush, string line, trimming knife and plumb level.
